We introduced space feature classifications, which allow users at multi-property chains to search for available spaces by feature when creating a new reservation. We also added QR codes to "Invitation to Online Check-In" emails, ensuring that guests who book their stay through an OTA can still easily check-in at an Operator kiosk.

We added a new field that allows you to input a customer's preferred language when creating their profile. We also improved settlement rules, so reservations created after the time of the settlement trigger are now processed automatically.

We added information to the Reservation Module that allows you to easily identify whether the attached payment card is physical or virtual. We also removed the Issues virtual cards option from travel agency contracts, since we recently introduced automatic virtual card detection in Commander.

We introduced a Help button in Operator, which guests can use to find instructions for contacting staff if they require assistance with their check-in. We also implemented a police export integration for properties in the Swiss canton of Ticino, and improved how optional reservations are handled in Navigator.

  • Implemented a police export integration for properties in the Swiss canton of Ticino. This integration exports a daily report that contains all guest information required by Ticino cantonal law.
  • Released a new version of Mews University, specifically for French properties. Our French University features all of the videos that are crucial for properties in this legal environment—contact support today to gain access. We'll be continuously updating both the English and French versions of our University, so stay tuned!
  • Discontinued a feature in the French legal environment which automatically posted rebates when cancelling or modifying items with future consumption. We introduced this feature to be compliant with French accounting law but do not feel that it is the most practical solution. We are continuing to speak with authorities and are looking for a better way to handle future items.

  • Updated the German legal environment to apply 7% VAT to no-show fees and 0% VAT to all other cancellation fees.
  • Added figures to the top of the Accounting Report, so you can easily see the total amount of payments and revenue (including outlet revenue) accrued in a specified period of time.
  • Added a new option to stay settings that allows properties in Vienna to automatically apply city tax, so you no longer need to set up products or product rules. Before you make any changes, contact your account manager for more information about enabling this option.

We introduced a QR code scanner for Operator, so guests can easily find their reservation without ever entering their confirmation code. We also added an option to the Reservation Module that lets you easily select if a cancellation fee should be applied to a shortened reservation.

  • Added a checkbox to the Properties tab of the Reservation Module, so you can easily select if  a cancellation fee should be applied to a shortened reservation. If you chose to apply cancellation fees by default in your stay settings, this box will be preselected automatically.
  • Improved how payment card updates are handled in Navigator. When a guest adds a new card, it will automatically become the primary card on their reservation, unless the card currently attached is virtual; virtual cards cannot be overridden, as doing so could lead to double charges.
  • Improved automation for virtual card payments—Mews now charges the full prepaid amount.
